Nintendo have overnight, released a video and announced it will be bringing it’s famous Mario Kart Tour to mobile devices.
The game, which you can pre-register to download both from Google Play and the App Store (iOS), pits yourself against your friends through the famous Mario Kart Characters like Mario himself, Bowser, Princess Peach, Luigi, Yoshi and Wario as you race each other around courses inspired by real-world cities, in addition to classic Mario Kart courses.
There are, of course, various challenges and prizes to be won, but it’s not always about becoming first in every race with some of these challenges.
It does seem that like with other Nintendo games that have been released on mobile, it will be a freemium model, meaning you will have to pay for certain part of the game to enable to keep playing, though there have not been any costs or purchase prices provided or disclosed yet [Editor’s note: finally a better use for my Google Opinion Rewards money].
You can watch a video trailer of the app below:
If you are interested and love Mario Kart, then you can pre-register now via Google Play Store, with the game set to be downloadable from September 25th.
