One item coming up in the tech buys tomorrow, to avoid more thoroughly than COVID, is the “National Geographic Premium Telescope”.
I thought the tabletop Dobsonian base 76mm x 300mm f3.95 Newts which show up regularly, were bad enough. Now Aldi have sourced worse. A Bresser 76mm x 700mm f9.21 Newt, on a cheap-arse EQ mount and tripod, sporting National Geographic blanding.
If you are after a telescope as a Christmas tech buy, shop online at your local astronomy shop, and NOT Aldi.
Our local ALDI has had that TV in stock for a week. Their supply chains must be so screwed up at the moment.
