Android 7 Nougat
After clearing the Nougat update for the Nexus 6P back in August, Vodafone Australia has advised that the rollout has been halted.

The update was initially referred back to Hauwei after an issue was discovered in the update, but was approved for rollout on August 25th. The details on the halted update aren’t given but Vodafone has advised that they are working with Huawei on the issue, saying:

Rollout delayed
An issue is affecting rollout of this software update and we are working with Huawei to resolve ASAP. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will keep you posted as soon as we have an update.

Other Australian carriers Optus and Virgin Mobile who both offered the Nexus 6P as well haven’t updated their software update pages as yet. Optus has advised the status of the Android 7.0 update as ‘New Version 7.0 Nougat – Completed’, while Virgin Mobile, a wholly owned subsidiary of Optus, lists the status of their update as ‘Testing Finished’.

We’ve reached out to Vodafone, Optus and Virgin Mobile for more information on the update to see if they have anything further to add.

Bought mine outright from optus store, still no N update

I’m with Optus. Updated to Nougat over a week ago. Yesterday I started having rapid draining issues. Android OS has used 51% of my battery. I presume this is the same issue.

I’ve been using Nougat on my 6P for a fortnight, obtained via OTA by enrolling in the Android beta program. Only bug I have so far is my Bluetooth car speakerphone isn’t auto-connecting anymore if I’m paired to my Zenwatch 2 at the same time.

Apart from that, I haven’t found any other bugs in Nougat

meanwhile Google has released the OTA on their developers page

Meanwhile Voda users who bought their 6P outright from elsewhere and have updated experience no issues. This is why i don’t get carrier devices…
