Looks like some users over on Reddit are reporting that they are receiving an update to Android 4.2.2 (Build JDQ39) on their GSM Galaxy Nexus and also their Nexus 7. The only information supplied on the update is from one of the users -WeeManFoo who advises that the Bluetooth streaming from his Car Stereo seemed much more smooth with less hiccups, this is in line with Google’s promise to release a fix for issues with Bluetooth in the next update of Android.

There are further updates from Android Police where some users have advised that their Nexus 10 is also receiving the update and has provided screenshots of the update. We’ll have to wait a bit until someone can capture the update zip link but time to start checking your phone/tablet for updates. Of course if your Galaxy Nexus was purchased from one of the Australian Mobile Operators you’ll have to wait for their testing of the update before you’ll see the update.

I think you meant to say “Bluetooth streaming to his car stereo”

So if you purchased your phone through a telco like say Telstra, you won’t get the update.

Andrew

Still waiting for someone with Nexus 4 to confirm they’ve received the udpdate at this stage.

“Of course if your Galaxy Nexus was purchased from one of the Australian Mobile Operators you’ll have to wait for their testing of the update before you’ll see the update.”

This should be re-written to read:

“Of course if your Galaxy Nexus was purchased from one of the Australian Mobile Operators you’ll need to wait a further 3 years for their testing of the update before there is even a slight chance that you’ll see the update.”
