Xposed-Framework-for-Android-Guide
Android is an almost infinitely moddable system and the implementation of the Xposed Framework led to ease of implementing various hacks, as modules to be installed. The release of Android 5.0 (Lollipop) threw a spanner in the works for a number of Modders who have been waiting for the framework to be updated to work with the latest version of Android and ART, but the wait is almost over with the developer teasing Xposed for Lollipop over on XDA-Developers.

It’s a pretty basic tease with just a screenshot and a quote of ‘Soon… 🙂 Working very well already’.

Xposed - Lollipop

No ETA’s for the release have been given, but forum users over on the Xposed thread on XDA note that there is active development on the Xposed Framework GitHub page, so hopefully modders won’t be waiting too long.

Have you been waiting on Xposed for Lollipop?

GoodNews! On my nexus 4 I used to run cyanogen mod and loved Privacy Guard (Ap Ops). Moving to lollipop meant i waved goodbye to CM but I want a similar privacy solution. XPrivacy looks like the ducks nuts for privacy, but it relies on Xposed. Been waiting for its release!

Excellent! Can’t wait for this. Interestingly there is a new theming process called layers which works similarly and there is also a custom rom that has introduced its own framework for xposed-type modules.
