VLC Beta For Android

VLC for Android is receiving an update which enables background playback for video, as well as a new look and a new file browser with other minor tweaks that resemble more Lollipop-like animations, and some under the hood performance improvements.

Looking at the update notice over on Google Play, the update for VLC brings:

1.3.2 introduces quite a few changes to VLC on Android.
VLC now supports the background playback for video. Audio Delay control is also activated.
There is a new look in the audio player, in the side bar, a new Album View, an improved search behavior, more Lollipop effects, a simplified the video player controller and a new file browser.
On the backend, we fixed hardware acceleration for TS files, we support audio scrobblers, fixed SD cards browsing, added better logging and updated codecs.

The update is rolling out to users on their smartphone or tablet, head over to Google Play and make sure your app is updated to receive all the benefits.
