Adobe Photoshop touch

Adobe has announced that it will be removing its Photoshop Touch app from Google Play effective May 28th.

The news comes as Adobe reveals its new apps which it believes will help the company re-capture customers and its status as the number one for photo editing services. Sadly, the new apps announced and in one case just previewed, are only available for iOS users, at least at this stage.

Scott Belsky, Adobe’s VP of Products, Community and Behance said in the company’s blog post that

“Sometimes building for the future means we need to make hard choices and today I am also announcing that we are discontinuing Photoshop Touch. For those of you who have been using Photoshop Touch, thank you and please continue creating amazing work with it; while it will no longer be available in stores as of May 28th and we won’t ship further updates, it will remain completely functional on your devices for the foreseeable future.”

The company has released a FAQ section on Photoshop Touch’s help page, which gives some further assistance should you still wish to keep Photoshop Touch running on your mobile after May 28th, which you can view here.

However, not to leave us Android users out in the cold completely, the company said that “we’re actively developing new mobile applications for Android and will share those with you very soon.”

Will you be using Adobe Photoshop Touch past May 28th? Do you think Adobe have done the right thing removing the app before announcing and releasing the new apps for Android users.

The app was not found in the store. 🙁

At least it was discontinued after 5.0 came out. Found an app that didn’t support ART and the developer email is dead 🙁
