With any big event you attend with your friends, a wedding, anniversary, birthday party etc. there’s always a lot of photos taken. Facebook wants to make it easier to share those moments you capture with those friends, and let them share their moments with you, with their new app, called Moments.

The app is now available in Google Play and lets you tag your friends and they tag you, you can then view and download those photos, keeping all the photos tagged, synced and more importantly searchable. The highlights of the app, which has also launched on iOS, include:

  • Keep all your photos organized in one private place
  • Sync multiple photos at onceβ€”no need to text or email individual photos
  • Search to find photos of yourself and your friends
  • Save photos other people sync to you on your phone’s camera roll
  • Share directly on Facebook or Instagram, or send in Messenger if you want

The app sounds very familiar to Google+ users who have been using collaborative albums for a while now, though we haven’t tested that feature out in a loooong time. The downside of course is limited availability with Facebook choosing to release Moments as a US-only release – but that won’t stop anyone πŸ˜‰ so tell us what you think.
