Google’s Deal of the Week promotion in Google Play has seen its second update after it introduced the deal in late July. There’s two more deals, an app and a game up for grabs, so let’s dive in.

Townsmen Premium a city building sim from Handy Games and djay 2 ‘The #1 DJ app for Android’ from Algoriddim, both dropped to just $0.20 each. Townsmen Premium normally lists at US$3.46, while djay 2 normally sits at US$6.88, making both apps a great deal.

djay2
djay 2 is a fantastic looking app for professional or beginner DJ’s offering the ability to mix tracks stored locally, or through Spotify, essentially turning your Android device into a full–featured DJ system. djay 2 lets you mix on the fly at a gig, or pre-record mixes for playback at a later time.

Townsmen Premium
The game this week is a city building simulator called Townsmen Premium. The premise is simple, as Handy Games say: ‘From humble backwater to medieval metropolis – build the city of YOUR dreams!’

Last week, Google promoted WeatherPro as their App Deal of the Week, which while a great deal, did include In App Purchases (IAP). This week, Google has added a game with IAP, with Townsmen Premium, though ad-free and starting at a higher level than the free version, does feature options to purchase In-app Products from between $2.45 and a whopping $94.56 per item, so be careful.

Google’s Deal of the Week promotion may be a fleeting thing, or more permanent, but while it lasts we’re going to take advantage. Head over to Google Play’s App Deal of the week and Game Deal of the Week to grab a bargain.

There’s many other ways to get music for free.

    Legal ways?
I like google play music as with the music manager it auto downlaods to my PC.
Only gripe with google play music is they dont has as much content as itunes,
But I rather go without than buy from itunes.

Any gaps (I haven’t come across many) I found with the play music subscription are easily filled by buying the CD cheaply, ripping and uploading to the free locker part of the service. I understand that this may not appeal to everyone but I’d already done it with hundreds of my own CD’s. There are plenty of versions of songs I had that I don’t see replicated but then if I never owned the CD I’d probably just like the standard version on Play.
