Telstra has today also formally announced it’s plans to bring the Xperia X10 to their range of Android Devices, which currently consists of just it & the HTC Desire.

Today we’re letting everyone know that Telstra will launch the Sony Ericsson Xperia™ X10 on 4 May. It’s our second Android-powered smartphone.

It’s certainly one of the more distinctive looking smartphones we’ve seen. The Next G model comes in piano black with metal highlights. It also sports a massive 4-inch screen.

Telstra will be rocking the X10a, which runs on UMTS bands I/II/V or 850MHz/1900MHz/2100MHz respectively.

The X10 will be available from May 4th in all [T]Life stores, and ill come in at $1,099. Much more than Three’s offering of $949.

It will also feature on Telstra’s $110 Unlimited plan for $0. This plan comes with 150MB *cough* awful *cough* of data on a 24 month contract. Along with that is the $99 NextG plan with comes with no data allowance what so ever, so you’ll have to dig deeper in to your pockets to fork out for a DataPack.

Not the kindest of offerings from Telstra, but still a great phone none the less. So come on Vodafone & Optus, your up next!
