With GDC (Game Developers Conference) in full swing, some of the big boys are show-casing what their new wares can do. None better than our good old friend, Samsung. At GDC they have on demo their new dual core processor packed with extra awesomeness, the Exynos 4210,which forms the heart of their new Galaxy S 2 handset. They have this beast running an Android based 3D asteroid game, plugged into a 1080p TV via HDMI, pumping out an incredible 60fps in stereoscopic 3D. ARM stressed that the chip could go higher and give better frame rates, but was restricted by the HDMI 1.3 port on their reference board. They could push up to 70fps in stereoscopic 3D using HDMI 1.4.

When Engadget spoke to ARM, about the so called asteroid game they call TrueForce being release to the masses, ARM said they may release it as a sort of benchmark app. Now only if we could see a side by side comparison of the Galaxy S 2 with the Exynos and one with Tegra 2. I’d love to see that. Hit the break for the video.

I’m still not sure if I want my SGSII powered by this or the NVIDIA Tegra 2.

TegraZone looks really cool.

Tegra Zone does looks sweet, but i wanna see what the chip can do. I do believe they had a video of the Tegra 2 doing a similar thing, might see if i can find it

I know I don’t, why would you want weaker hardware? Also whatever tegra can do do can this it’s really all about open gl 2.0 & they can both do that plus shading lighting & all. Samsung all the way for me, if not it would be apple 5. Remember samsung is still making ipad & iphone’s chipset’s & more!

Wow, that video is amazing, all powered by a tiny chip. This is why I love tech.
