Remember when we told you the Optimus Black from LG was going to Optus in June? Well it turns out our source was bang on the money. Gizmodo Australia reports that all Carriers will be picking up the Optimus Black, which features a 4″ NOVA IPS display (480×800) and the now obligatory 1GHz CPU. Vodafone and Optus will launch the device this month, with Telstra following next month. The device itself is only 9.4mm thick (1mm thicker than the SGSII) and will run Android 2.2 with an update to 2.3 coming soon after launch. There’s also a gyroscope and 5MP rear-facing camera and 2MP front-facing camera. So this device has everything you need except for pricing and we hear that’s pretty important these days, however Nick from Giz AU suggests it will launch at between $29 to $59/mo.

According to Gizmodo it’s 9.2mm thick? – I’ve seen the display and it’s awesome, great for people outdoors a lot and battery life is good to boot.

Its on 49C at Optus and 39C at Virgin. Ausdroid not keeping up with pricing?
