If you’re the proud owner of a Motorola XOOM which you purchased from Telstra, then you can expect the Android 3.1 update to be rolling out to your device.. right.. NOW! We’ve heard from multiple peeps that the update has hit their devices over the air, so hit up your local Wi-Fi connection (or 3G if you’re fearless) and download it. Let us know how you go, in the comments below.

Updated to 3.1 and impressed with speed increase… perhaps a little less stable? Love the activation of micro sd.

Just been told that they have stopped the OTA of 3.1

Issues:

* Forced Factory Reset to download update
* Battery Life hit.
* Graphics Acceleration (Hardware Video Decode) fail.

Stay tunned….

My Xoom is not allowing the update? or registering that there is an update available?

shortened battery life

If you bought a xoom from jb hifi are you able to update?

Yep 🙂

How?
Is there a url? Do you need to be on Telstra network?

Looks good!

Have tried NextG and WiFi – my XOOM always says “Failed to download software update because of insufficient system memory. Please factory reset your device.” Really don’t want to do that! Any ideas?

Hmmmm that doesn’t sound good at all!

Any reason for not wanting to do the reset?

Just left my charger at work for the weekend! At 64% Power. Assume all my apps will come back when I sign into google, but will have to recreate all email accounts and other settings.

Thanks for the update….. clicked update on the xolm and here it comes…… about time 🙂

Anyone on optus able to update? Not showing me any updates…

Optus Xoom should run 3.1 out of the box.

I am on Optus as well, so the Update feature just shows it as ‘Up to Date’ which it is not :), 3.01 is not 3.1 . I cannot find on the Motorola Site the 3.1 update – Australian part, and I thought I needed a location / carrier version?
