Did you pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S III in hopes of being one of the first people to own one? Well you’re not alone — actually, there’s 9,000,000 other people just like you. According to a report in the Korea Economic Daily, who cited an unnamed Samsung exec, the company has racked up a whopping nine million pre-orders worldwide for their next-generation Galaxy S device. That amount will put them in line to surpass the 30 million+ Galaxy S IIs that have been sold since its launch last year. It will also concrete Samsung’s position as the number 1 Android device manufacturer.

The Samsung Galaxy S III will launch here in Australia after the May 31 launch event. All the major carriers and MVMOs will take a piece of the pie with more information to be confirmed at the event.
