According to the Google Nexus twitter feed pre-orders for the Nexus 7 tablets have begun shipping, the rhyming tweet dropped last night. They haven’t updated the Google Play entry for the Nexus 7 but this tweet is the next step and now all we need are emails from Google with Tracking numbers.

As I pre-ordered whilst the keynote was happening I was also expecting to see my shipping confirmation email from Google in my mail box this morning, however I have received nothing as yet. My Google Wallet page remains static. Let us know in the comments when you placed your order, if you’ve been charged and most importantly if you’ve received a shipping notification.

Not sure why everyone is having issues. I ordered mine on the 16th and received it on the 19th here in Sydney.
Haven’t had much of a chance to play with it but it looks the goods so far.

Just got Google’s shipping notification. My Nexus 7 will be delivered on July 20 (Friday). Some of you guys should get this soon if you haven’t got any updates.

Got my tracking # from Fedex 5 hours ago. I preordered mine on the June 29th (16G). My account was charged earlier today. ETA = July 19, by 5 pm. Destination = Melbourne.

Yes, FedEX have really screwed this up. According to their tracking, shipped 17th but missed the cut-off. Sat around in Hong Kong all yesterday and will allegedly be despatched tonight. Delivery date now 23rd although it may arrive here in Melbourne tomorrow (I doubt it, FedEX you clowns!) so I plan to head over to FedEX’s DC on Saturday morning to collect. What happened to the two day shipping, Google???

Update. Mine is now allegedly on the truck coming out for delivery today. Actually received a follow up call from FedEx letting me know that is is on its way. They have 2.5 hours.

Mine had ETA July 19, 5pm Melbourne. Now it says “Package received after FedEx cutoff” – ETA = July 23, 6pm.
Not impressed – I’ll have it for about 96 hours before I could have walked into a store to pick it up.

Updated tracking just moments ago. Would seem that these Nexuses (Nexii?) are most definitely shipping out from a distribution centre in Hong Kong. Was actually hoping for a quicker turnaround if it had originated from Singapore instead. Oh well, that would probably mean an extra half-day at the most to the delivery time…slightly bummed, TBH :/
So guys, in “My Orders” on Google Play, Nexus 7 (16GB) is showing as ‘complete’ and the date has changed to July 16, before it was June 29 (the date I pre-ordered).
Would this mean it got shipped yesterday!? 😀

Just got my shipping email. Pre-ordered a 8gb on the 2th july. Shipped at 3pm 16th july. I am not complaining with 15-17 days when initially it was an expected 3-4 week wait. Now its just the 2 day wait as it wings its way from singapore. Play customers in Oz I think will still be the first to get hold of their N7’s.

im not too happy with google. been trying to cancel my preorder now for about 2 weeks and not had any feedback or anything. I really dont know what else to do as ive used every form of communication i can find for their play store.
I dont really mind if I get it but just annoying that they have ignored me as I want to cancel as i can get a better deal elsewhere.

Very strange, ordered 8gig through Play on the 12/Jul, credit card charged the next day.
I was charged next day as well but it was taken off a few days later. I called Google last week about it and they said it will be charge before delivery. Maybe its because I ordered 16GB…
Just got email from Google with the Fedex tracking number confirming the shipping of the item. Item is shipped from Singapore, so it would probably take two days to receive

I preordered mine from EB Games (ive had bad experiences in the past with EB Games so hopefully i dont get screwed around this time.
Just got an Email from EB saying that my preorder is almost here and they will charge my account 2-3 business days before they send it out so fingers crossed.
I just got off the phone with Google. I was told that all pre-orders will be being shipped out in the next three business days. So for us, that’s by Thursday.
