Looks like the Ice Cream Sandwich updates are really flowing now, with the ‘Charm’ toting HTC Rhyme now showing on the Optus software updates page as having it’s Ice Cream Sandwich update approved and ready to rollout by Optus, now we’re just waiting on HTC to give us a heads up on when to expect the rollout to begin and as soon as we get that we’ll update the post. The update will take Rhyme owners from Android 2.3.5 to 4.0 but no details on exactly which iteration of ICS it will be.

Whilst the initial date for upgrading the HTC Rhyme from Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich given by HTC was for June-July, given that it’s now just the start of August this isn’t too bad in terms of a rollout, but still we can now only wait and see as to whether the Rhyme will be included in the Jelly Bean updates and then how long that update takes.

I preferred to think of it as a feminine phone with umbilical cord and glowing placenta.
