google now

With each update to Android, Google makes significant improvements to Google Now, and with Android 4.2.2 rolling out to Nexus devices right now, an update to Google Now has appeared on the Play Store.

The update adds a widget for either your home or lock screen, support for movie passes from Fandango and Rotten Tomatoes ratings, and real estate listings. It also add some US-exclusive features, such as college football results, and Google Play Music controls.

I haven’t been able to make the widget show anything interesting, but it will show the weather and upcoming calendar events, which I guess could be useful. The widget also acts as a shortcut to Google Now, bringing the total number of ways to get there from your homescreen to 4.

The update requires at least Android 4.1, and is live on the Play Store now.

Is it just me or is this article not working in pc browser?

I`m reading this on my PC, tried it in Chrome (Version 24), Firefox (18.0.2) and IE 9. Any more info you have so we can see what’s gone wrong?

I disabled Google Now 2 days ago on my Nexus 4, I was getting 10 hours max batterly life with basic use. Last night after 18 hours I still had 30% left. With these figures Google Now can go jump as it is a battery killer and not good for much else for me.
