Blackberry are continuing their attempt at a resurgence on the back of Android. The KEYone was well received in the review we did earlier this year and now a render has leaked of their next phone, the Motion.

Originally codenamed Krypton, the Blackberry Motion looks to be TCL’s next piece of hardware to run Android. TCL did a great job with the Blackberry hardware on the KEYone you would expect them to do the same here. The render of the Motion has been leaked by Evan Blass (as he so often does) and can be seen below:

So what can we take from this image? There is a headphone jack still present and with the size of that chin I’m not surprised there was room for a headphone jack. There appears to be a single bottom-firing mono speaker as well as a USB-C charging port on the bottom. The Blackberry symbol appears to be a physical home button. What this button does in obviously unknown but most likely a fingerprint sensor as well as possibly a navigation button such as Huawei have done on the P10.

There are three buttons down the right hand side — a volume rocker and a power button (we are assuming the textured button in the power button) and another button. The extra button could be to trigger the camera and a shutter button? Google Assistant launcher?

The Blackberry Motion made by TCL does look to be a very well crafted phone with great styling around the sides of the phone. It is unknown when this will launch or even be announced but we will be watching closely after their impressive first effort with the KEYone.
