The list of Android Pay compatible financial institutions is still growing with 28 Degrees Mastercard customers now able to add their cards to the Android Pay app.

The discovery was made by Ausdroid reader Terry who tipped us that it was working, even though the official Android Pay support site has yet to be updated. The 28 Degrees website has also been updated with an Android Pay landing page which lists the 28 Degrees Platinum Mastercard as now compatible.

28 Degrees is a product from Latitude Financial Services a consumer finance company in Australia and New Zealand who have more than 2.5 million customers accessing credit cards, sales finance, personal loans and consumer credit insurance.

If you’re a 28 Degrees customer then you can download the Android Pay app from Google Play and set it up. Don’t forget to try your luck with Google’s current Android Pay customer promotion which runs until the end of the year, giving you the chance to win vouchers from popular retailers.

Wish I knew what the hell St George is doing regarding Android Pay.

According to responses to queries on their official facebook page, looks like they’re snubbing android pay for their own app (eta unkown) which of course, you have to open the app before taping as opposed to unlocking your phone and tapping. I doubt it will be anywhere near as user friendly as android pay or support anything but a small amount of phones i.e. Samsung
