Ahead of the launch of the new Nokia 8810 4G, Nokia is clearing the decks with a deep discount on last years retro hit the Nokia 3310 3G, with the handset on-sale this week for $29.

The 3310 is normally priced at $79, so it’s a pretty deep discount. You’ll find the handset at Coles this week from Vodafone, which means it’s locked to their network with an unlock fee required to make it work on other networks.

The Nokia 3310 was announced at last years Mobile World Congress, and comes with a hefty 27 day battery life as well as the classic mobile game Snake. The handset may not be ‘smart’, but it does have a camera, though at 2MP it’s not something you’ll be wanting to use for high-end photography.

It’s one for the nostalgia fans really, and if you’re not sure what to expect, you can check Chris’ look at the 3310 here. If you do decide to grab yourself one, head into Coles from this Wednesday (25th of April), where it’s on-sale with a limit of 1 per customer, until Tuesday 1st of May.

My first mobile was a 3315 in a similar package (red Virgin PrePaid) so I’m tempted to grab one of these for nostalgia…
