After the announcement of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC and a new version of Wear OS rolling out, the race is on for the first new watch to appear on the market. Louis Vuitton may be in that mix with a new watch running Wear OS passing through the FCC.

The watch, called ‘Malletier’ has passed through the FCC with Wear OS on-board as evidenced by the e-label which matches the current look of e-labels on Wear OS watches. The e-label also includes an Australia/New Zealand certification stamp, so that bodes well for us here.

There are two models which headed through the FCC, QA05 and QA08, but for those hoping for a high-end spec packed device there’s disappointment with only Bluetooth and WiFi tested, with no sign of GPS or NFC on-board.

The filing does include a diagram showing the dimensions of the watch, with the case (plus crown) measuring in at 47.49mm, while the height including the lugs measures in at 52.35mm.

Obviously no announcement has been made at this stage, so we’ll just have to wait a little longer to find out the particulars of this latest Wear OS watch.
