Smart home friendly light maker Signify, has today announced an extension to their Philips Hue lighting range in Australia introducing the Hue white & colour ambiance candle (E14) and Hue white ambiance spot (GU10).

Designed to expand the possibilities for creating a more personal ambient lighting experience in your home. Both the Ambiance Candle and Ambiance Spot feature deep dimming from warm white to cool daylight with a 2200 K – 6500 K colour temperature range. The addition to the current range, which currently includes the A19/E27, B22, and GU10 spot light bulbs allow you to have a diverse range of lighting options throughout your home.

Philips Hue bulbs offer the full benefits of control through Google Assistant, Amazons Alexa and through Apple Home Kit and can be paired with the Philips Hue motion sensor giving you options for automation from anywhere.

The Philips Hue range requires the Hue Bridge – available for $89 – which can control up to 50 lights in your home with easy sync and ability to add more light bulbs. The Philips Hue White and Colour Ambiance E14 Candle single bulb is available for $69 while the GU10 spot light is available for $89 from this month.

I’ve had so many troubles controlling my hue lights by voice. It’s still a pretty janky experience requiring a lot of technical know how to make work.
