The information surrounding the launch of Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL handsets is solidifying with 360-degree CAD renders appearing overnight.

While we’ve previously seen the Pixel 3 Lite, this is our first ‘look’ at the larger Pixel 3 Lite XL (that’s an odd way to name it, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯). The renders are courtesy of Steve Hemmerstoffer through his @onleaks account, which have been published on 91Mobiles.com.

The renders show the Pixel 3 Lite with a similar design to what we’ve seen previously, with a slightly thicker body and bezels above the display – though no notch is present on the Pixel 3 Lite XL. The Pixel 3 Lite will have a 5.5″ display, while the larger Pixel 3 Lite XL will have a 6.5″ display.

The phones will be made from a cheaper poly-carbonate material instead of glass which the standard Pixel 3 phones offer – and if previous leaks and the render of the white model are correct, their coloured power buttons are returning. Google has included a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top of the phone, with a USB Type-C connector at the bottom.

Internally, the Lite Pixel 3 phones will come with a midrange Snapdragon 670 processor – though the XL may get the Snapdragon 710 according to 91Mobiles, though they couldn’t substantiate this further – with 4GB RAM and 32GB of on-board storage and as is the case with Google phones, no microSD card appears to be included.

In terms of cameras, the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 Lite XL will both sport a 12MP rear camera, with an 8MP sensor on the front. We’ve previously seen samples from the Pixel 3 Lite which show the rear camera will be no slouch.

Announcement date, pricing, and availability are all up in the air for the ‘Lite’ versions of the Pixel 3 phones, but it seems as though it’s building to an announcement some time soon.

Definitely needs more than 32GB of storage, but other than that I’m happy to see a cheaper Pixel on the market.
