The other day we saw a leak from Evan Blass showing the upcoming white Pixel 3a. Tonight he has followed that up with the same phone but this time in a purple shade and a different coloured power button.

Rumours and leaks are flying around but this is the first time we have seen a leak in a purple hue and if the leak had come courtesy of someone other than Evan Blass I would be extremely skeptical.

As you can see in the images above there appears to be a Pixel 3a (or is it a Pixel 3a XL?) which is different in colour to the white (and no it does not appear to be just the lighting) along with a different coloured power button – yellow instead of orange.

It is under two weeks before we see the Pixel 3a announced by Google according to a teaser from Google the other day. The announcement date of May 8 coincides with Google IO although we do not normally see hardware being announced at Google I/O – a developers conference.

The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are expected to be part of Google’s push to their ‘next billion users’ with a much more affordable mid-level with Google’s Pixel software. We will have to wait until May 8 to see exactly what the differentiators are for the new mid-level Pixel phones.

Anyone here interested in a Pixel 3a mid-ranger? I know a few people who might be that’s for sure.
