JBL have some decent headphones in Australia and now they are teaming up with Under Armour to bring their UA Sport Wireless Headphones series to Australia.

The new series includes four models: Train, React, Pivot and the True Wireless FLASH: giving athletes the choice for whichever model best suits them and their activities. Each model includes the “JBL Charged Sound” which is a “sport-optimised” sound curve which delivers deep bass, ‘crystal clear mids and smooth highs’.

There is the inclusion of TalkThru Technology which allows the users to lower the music volume with the touch of a button allowing listening to surrounding noise/speech.

UA Sport Wireless Train

The Train are on-ear headphones which are designed to be tough and rugged to survive intense gym sessions. The on-ear UA Supervent cushions promise to not sweat up the ears too much with alight, fast-drying fabric — these can be removed and hand washed once they become manky and stinky.

The on-ear Train headphones offer an IPX4 sweatproof rating and will extend listening to up to 16 hours with just five minutes of charging delivering one hour of listening time.

These will retail for $299.95 and promise to be the produce some of the best sounds from a set of gym-rated headphones. They can be purchased from the Under Armour website or JB Hi-Fi.

UA Sport Wireless React and Pivot

The React are lightweight, in-ear headphones designed for runners whereas the Pivot are also in-ear but also include an over-the ear hook to secure them in the ears better.

With UA Storm waterproof technology they offer an IPX7 rating to allow use in not just sweaty gym conditions but also in wet weather outside. Battery life is rated at nine hours for each headphone with full charging requiring just two hours.

RRP is $199.95 and can once again be purchased from the Under Armour website or JB Hi-Fi.

UA Sport True Wireless FLASH

Building on the True Wireless fashion of the last couple of years the Flash bring an “ultra-comfortable Sport Flex Fit” without any wires to get in the way. Once again these headphones offer the UA Storm waterproof technology to provide an IPX7 rating designed to allow some heavy sweating without compromising the headphones.

Combined with the rugged case the Flash headphones offer 25 hours of playback. At a RRP of $249.95 they fit right in the middle of quite a few different brands of true wireless headphones. Once again pick them up from the Under Armour website of JB Hi-Fi if you are interested.

We will be checking some of these out and putting them through some intense sessions in the next couple of weeks so stay tuned to see how they go. I know I am always on the hunt for a high end set of on-ear gym headphones so I look forward to see if these fit the bill.
