If you’re in Melbourne this weekend and don’t live there, it’s a chance you’re there for PAX. For those unaware, it’s a show that celebrates pretty much all things gaming. It’s there that HyperX has launched new products into its peripheral range this weekend.

HyperX Armada 25 and HyperX Armada 27 Gaming Monitors

When it comes to gaming and monitors, not all monitors are created equal. The Armada 25 costs $719.00 and delivers a FHD 24.5-inch panel that runs an impressive 240Hz refresh rate at 1ms response time. This ensures smooth gameplay and a significant reduction in motion blur. While not quite as fast, the Armada 27 is priced at $779.00, bringing QHD to the game with a 165Hz refresh and 1ms response time.

The Armada gaming monitors are compatible with NVIDIA® G-SYNC for the best gaming performance and display experience. They also deliver to buyers a package that includes the HyperX Armada Single Gaming Mount and arm, compatible with all HyperX monitors and most displays with VESA 75mm and 100mm standards.

HyperX ProCast Large Diaphragm Condenser Microphone

The HyperX ProCast isn’t cheap at $419.00 and is clearly aimed at the streaming market. It’s touted as a “professional-grade condenser microphone featuring an XLR connection, a cardioid polar pattern input and a gold-sputtered large diaphragm condenser capsule” which ultimately means you’ll get very clean and clear inputs; with the capacity to put the mic through an audio mixer setup.

HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Gaming Headset

The new headset features spatial audio optimisation to improve directional awareness within games. A great sounding headset that feels horrible to wear isn’t a good headset. HyperX continues to show a focus on comfort through its use of memory foam and leatherette materials on the unit. These will fit the contours of your head without causing discomfort, heat build up or adding significant weight.

A spokesperson for HyperX said:

“Offering another top-quality headset option packed with impressive features for both function and comfort, Cloud Stinger 2 stays true to its lightweight predecessors’ quality and comfort at a low price point – now with DTS Headphone:X audio for more enhanced in-game immersion.”

The unit weighs only 300 grams and features 50mm drivers to provide a solid audio experience for daily use, media consumption or gaming. The best bit is it’s only $79.00, which makes it a pretty good idea for presents in the upcoming season of giving.
