Asus Nexus 7 Desktop Dock
The much anticipated official Nexus 7 Desktop Dock has gone up for pre-order in the US on B&H Photo Video. The dock is retailing for $39.99USD with shipping to Australia via UPS adding a further $37.66USD to the total. No word on when stock is expected but you can sign up to be notified when the stock does actually arrive.

Asus Australia has previously advised that the docks will arrive here in Australia but no firm details have been released as yet. The only details on the dock is that it contains a Micro USB Port and 3.5mm Audio Output, no word on if the dock makes use of the Pogo Pins on the side of the Nexus 7 yet.

Who wants one of these docks so badly they’re willing to pre-order from the US?

so if the dock is a landscape style as in the pic, how else would it connect to the tablet if not via the pogo pins?

Joss Terrell

The Micro USB on the Tablet will not get used by this dock, it’s too far up the side.
Looks like the “pogo pins” are it.

For those that are keen but haven’t noticed, many Whirlpool-ers are reporting Nexus 7 3G stock in stores around the country too. I got mine from JB Oxley last night.

woo! Now I just have to wait until someone makes a firmware that allows me to use it as a phone and I’ll snap one up! 😀
