LG-Qi-Charger

Ausdroid reader @metaeaux sends word of a good deal on LG’s Qi Wireless Charger (model WCD-100) that was given away by Optus with G3 preorders, shipped from Korea.

You can buy the charger from Ebay seller thekoreaseller – said to be in Korea, amazingly – for US $40 (about AU $43) with free international economy shipping – this is supposed to take 2-3 weeks, although this order arrived in under a week.

The listing says the charger is compatible with LG G3 models D851 D850 and D855 (the Australian model). It’s also compatible with the Nexus 5 and probably other Qi-compatible phones out there. There’s also no need to pony up for an international power adapter – the charger is powered by USB (there’s a Micro USB port on the back, like most phones), although no cable is supplied.

It’s a good price for a charger that provides a simple utility – it lets you see your phone’s screen while it’s charging. It also folds up should you need to take it with you.

Interested? Check out the Ebay listing. The listing says there’s 10+ available, but judging by the photos provided, we think there’s a lot more than 10 on offer…

Found a good deal on a phone or an accessory? Send us a tip!
