Xiaomi-Mi-Band
The Xiaomi Mi band is one of the cheapest fitness band options out there, at anywhere from US$15 the band offers a bargain basement way to track your fitness – including steps and your sleep, and now it’s getting even better with the latest update adding Google Fit integration.

The latest update also adds an ‘improved UI’ as well as the usual ‘Bug Fixes’ but it’s the Google Fit integration that’s the big news in this story. Hardware which connects to the Google Fit API has been limited to Android Wear devices, as well as the Basis range, the addition of the super cheap Xiaomi band opens the platform to a very lucrative sector, with Xiaomi a massively popular brand in China.

To connect to Google Fit it’s simply a matter of connecting your Google account. To get access to the new app, simply update your app through Google Play, and if you haven’t grabbed a Mi Band, you can grab one from the Ausdroid store – or wait for any number of different specials that appear on Ozbargain regularly.
