Red BackBeat Fit
If you’ve had a problem with working out so hard your bluetooth headset has stopped working, the new model of the Plantronics BackBeat Fit is for you.

Plantronics have introduced a new Water & Sweat Resistant version of their BackBeat Fit bluetooth headset which now comes in a hot red coloured model. The headset offers all the same features of the original, they’re lightweight and relatively comfortable to wear for a full workout, with no need for pesky cables to get in the way of your workout, but come with a nice IP57 rating, so you probably shouldn’t go swimming in them, but they can take a drenching.

The new model is available now from Rebel Sport, JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith, Officeworks, Tech2Go, and selected Optus, Telstra and Vodafone stores for $159.

I’ve been using the original model for a year now and they’ve grown on me in that time, some of the niggles I had initially appear to have vanished as the earphones moulded to my head. If you’re looking for a set of bluetooth earphones for your workout, these are definitely worth a look – maybe it’s time for a 2nd look at this new model.

Not sure about this replacement model, but it’s easy to find the Backbeat Fit for around $89 online. Got mine before Christmas, and they’re excellent. They don’t provide a full seal so you can hear noise around you and the bass isn’t strong, but good clarity, excellent battery life (I get through 3 x 1.5+ hour workouts easily) and they feel very well made.
