Android TV didn’t get a huge look in at this mornings Google I/O keynote, but that’s not to say that there isn’t news. Spotify has kicked off the day announcing they’ve released an Android TV app so now you can listen to your playlists on your Android TV.

Announced on Twitter by the @Android account and on the Spotify Blog, the app is now available to download from Google Play.

The Spotify Android TV app will let you do all the things you would expect like browse your favourite playlists, albums and tracks, using your TV remote, tablet or phone. The Android TV app displays all the beautiful album art running on your big screen as well. The app has been certified to work on pretty much all Android TV devices including the Sony Bravia range with embedded Android TV and standalone boxes like the Nexus Player and Shield Console.

Head over to Google Play and install the app on your Android TV device, or look it up from the Leanback version of Google Play on your Android TV today.
