The big show in home electronics and entertainment known as CES will kick off in Las Vegas in January and LG is getting ahead of the game announcing new monitors that will be on display at CES.
There are two models, the 4K compatible, 32″ (32UD99) model and the Chromecast enabled 34″ model (34UM79M). The Chromecast enabled monitor is a world first, letting users stream all their favourite content including movies, music, games and more straight to their monitor without the need for a Chromecast adapter to be plugged in.
The screen is UltraWide allowing users to do all their day-to-day tasks on the screen as well as simultaneously casting from mobile. There’s also a dual Controller feature allowing for users to control both a PC as well as a smartphone/tablet via a single keyboard and mouse.
Though it doesn’t include Chromecast support built-in, the 32″ 32UD99 model does offer HDR10 support and USB-C connectivity as well as an IPS 4K (3840×2160) panel. The USB-C connectivity will be welcomed by a number of users interested in utilising the benefits of that connection.
Availability and pricing for the new monitors hasn’t been announced as yet, but we’ll be checking it out in Vegas when they take the covers off.
With chromecast built in this will make a great digital photo frame… but will wait for the price
