As Amazon’s attitude towards other streaming devices continues to thaw, Telstra TV is the latest platform to benefit with the company’s Prime Video app added to its library.

In a post on the Telstra Exchange blog, the carrier details that the app is available in the Telstra TV’s “Apps” section.

Prime Video has a number of high profile shows such as The Expanse, American Gods, Jack Ryan and The Grand Tour available to Amazon Prime customers, and is increasing its public profile with new titles like Hannah now streaming.

Prime Video is a neat perk for anyone who signs up for Amazon Prime membership, $7/month or $59/year. For that you also get free shipping on some Amazon global orders over $49, e-books and Amazon Music.

Telstra TV is actually my streaming platform of choice, and we gave the recent version 3 update a thorough review recently – click here to read Ausdroid’s Telstra TV 3 review.

While the app has been available in the US Roku market for a while, it’s great to see Prime Video come to Telstra’s streaming platform.

With well built apps for Netflix, Foxtel Now, Kayo and other streaming services as well as Australian catch-up TV apps on board, it makes Telstra TV an obvious choice over other platforms and ecosystems for input #1 on your TV.

Saw it last night on my Telstra tv. I’ve been cursing Telstra for not having the app. Now I have all my streaming services in one place. Very happy Telstra have come to the party.
