Do not buy the Sony Smartwatch 3. I have one and don’t use it anymore.
The biggest issue the SWR50 has is that it uses normal glass. Scratches
happen in a blink. I was mowing the lawn and a little piece of dirty
(promise it was not a pebble) hit the glass and now it has a chip in it. Sony used sub-standard glass but still charged a premium. Rang the repair centre and they said I will have to purchase another watch as they don’t replace the glass.

I’ve recently started using the Sony again, Jason and Scott both just purchased them, all having no issues. Different experiences for different people.

Sorry for the confusion with my comment. Nothing wrong with the watch itself. It is the glass. It is not Gorilla Glass and chips easily. And it scratches if you even look at it. But functionality wise, no complaints on that front.

This or LG Urbane from Telstra ($225)?

I’m really tempted to upgrade from my LG G Watch …

TheCatMan

Mate, don’t buy the Sony. Read what I wrote above about my experience with it.

The SW3 is a great little watch. I pulled mine out after a long rest and Jason and Scott just bought one each – all quite happy with ours. Never used the LG Urbane – can’t help you there.

Thanks, might be a good chance to try Android Wear.
