The Google Play launch of the Nexus 5 yesterday, saw a massively improved customer experience compared to that which faced customers just under 12 months ago when the Nexus 4 went on-sale – selling out of the 16GB model in 22 minutes and the 8GB model in just over 2 hours. Google Wallet seemed to handle the load and we already have stock on the way with Fed Ex.
This year with both a black and white model of the Nexus 5 launching, the black model of the Nexus 5 appears to have been the most popular with current stocks of both the 16GB and 32GB both currently showing as sold-out. Current stock levels of the Nexus 5 are thus :
- 16GB White – Leaves warehouse by 8 November 2013.
- 16GB Black – We are out of stock. Please check back soon.
- 32GB White – Dispatched from warehouse in 2 – 3 weeks.
- 32GB Black – We are out of stock. Please check back soon.
Google and LG took until January this year to replenish stock levels of the Nexus 4 on Google Play but we hope that this won’t be the case this year.
