After starting the rollout of Nougat to the HTC 10 for Vodafone and Optus owners back in February, it appears Telstra HTC 10 customers will be getting their Nougat update soon.

You’d be forgiven for thinking that there isn’t a Nougat update for the phone, Telstra is simply listing the deployment of Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) in October last year on their software update page. Telstra isn’t even willing to acknowledge testing the update.

But despite that, the Nougat update for the Telstra HTC 10 is coming. HTC Australia has acknowledged the delay on their Facebook page advising they’re still working with Telstra to get the update out the door. The post says:

HTC hopes to make the update available by the end of June, so we’ll be keeping an eye out for any updates that HTC, or Telstra, have to offer.

Tell exact reason I didn’t renew my Telstra contract! Telstra and their piss poor attitude to updates! I now buy outright phones with Aldi mobile. Screw Telstra

Not at all surprised that the Telstra variant is delayed. This is why you buy a generic Aus variant outright.
