GooglePlus
Fans of Google’s social platform Google+ will be seeing an update shortly which brings about some new features including Chrome Custom Tabs, as well as Search History and some other interesting features.

Announced by Googler Luke Wroblewski, the update is the third for the Google+ app this year, showing there’s a lot of life left in the platform yet. The announcement of the update to version 7.2 includes a quick intro to Chrome Custom Tabs as well as a convenient changelog:

* 29 bugs fixed
* 10 accessibility issues addressed
* Faster and safer browsing of Web sites (info below)
* Search history and autocomplete
* Tap on the bottom bar to scroll to the top of Collections, Communities, and Notifications

The Chrome Custom Tabs feature was first noticed late last month by some users in what was obviously a trial before this launch.

Chrome Custom Tabs give users a faster way to check out an external link without loading a full browser, yet all the features, such as saved passwords, autofill, and Tap to Search are still available. But, if you don’t like Custom Tabs you can turn them off by un-checking “Enable Custom Tabs” in the Google+ Settings menu.

The update to version 7.2 is rolling out now through Google Play, but as usual if you want the update early you can side-load it if you wish.
