Google is releasing an update to Google Photos today which features improved design and performance enhancements. We love Google Photos, it’s perhaps one of the most seamless photo management and backup solutions, and in our recent trip to MWC 2016, it was extremely helpful in getting our photos up into the cloud for use by others.
The new features include a bottom navigation bar that allows users to quickly move between the Assistant, Photos and Albums view. Albums view? Yes, Google is replacing Collections with Albums, and the pane features a new scrolling carousel design with easy access to shared albums, people, places, things, animations, collages, movies and device folders.
The update is coming to Android today (in the form of version 1.15 on the Play Store), and to iOS soon.
This is probably one of my favourite Google apps right now. Just awesome.
