Samsung Hub
It seems Samsung Hub, which we reported about back a few weeks ago, is now rolling out via an update through the Samsung Apps store on certain Samsung Devices.

The update, which not only brings it in line with what is available on the Play Store, With Movies, Games, Apps but Samsung own answer to Google TextBooks, Samsung Learning hub, which does seem to offer a $20 credit for any purchases for new registered users.
Here are just a couple of screenshots taken of Samsung Hub:

The update which is a total of 54.24MB – probably best to be on Wi-Fi for this one – seems to be so far only available to the Galaxy S3 and S4 along with the Galaxy Note 2, though the update may hit more devices later on, but we will certainly be keeping an eye out to see which other devices might get Samsung Hub.

Don’t forget we’re giving away a subscription to the Samsung Music Hub away every week, so enter the competition now.

Have you used Samsung’s App/Movies/Games/Music Hub? Thoughts?

Along with Nick I received this some time ago. Nothing too impressive I agree. I cashed in my $20 voucher on a digital photography book. The content of the book (or “course”) is nice, but it doesn’t appear to be optimised for viewing on a mobile device! I have to zoom in to read anything, but then zoom out to turn the page…Eh, it was free ^_^’

I am confused because I have generic Australian (XSA) SGS III and received this a month ago. I did not find it all that exciting. Just more bloatware from Samsung..Google Play is enough for me. Only Samsung only app I love is “Navigon navigation” upgraded to additional features for taotal $32 worth it…. I find it better than Google Navigation as it does not need mobile signal and are more accurate.

Alex is this update via “software update” or am I missing something? I’ve got the Note 2 and tells me that my device is up to date. Thanks!

On your phone (unless you have a custom rom) there should be an app called Samsung Apps or S Apps. The update will be in there, along with updates for other pre-installed apps on your phone like S Note, etc.
