Galaxy Alpha
Samsung’s announced their new direction in design with the Galaxy Alpha, aiming at a premium metal chasis, paired with the distinctive Galaxy design stylings they’ve evolved since their introduction. Now the Galaxy Alpha is available from JB Hifi and it’s brought a friend along for the ride, with the Android Wear toting Gear Live smartwatch arriving as well.

Although the Galaxy Alpha was due on the 1st of October, it appears that most JB Hifi stores are only just beginning to receive their inventory now. Some stores range from a single unit through to others who have quite a few. The Galaxy Alpha is priced at $849, in Black only at this stage. It appears that a White one is available to order, but there’s no stock in their system.

Gear Live

The Gear Live has arrived at JB Hifi as well, bringing the JB Hifi Android Wear offerings up to two, as they have previously been selling the LG G Watch for $259. The Gear Live is slightly cheaper at $257 – although not as cheap as they’re selling it for at The Good Guys. There seems to be plenty of stock of the Gear Live around in the stores so you can now jump in and check it out in person before taking the plunge into Android Wear.

The Galaxy Alpha is a great looking phone, although there aren’t any dummy units in JB Hifi stores as yet for you to check it out live. Samsung Australia has been fairly quiet so far on the actual announcement so we’ll see what they have to say next week. Till then, if you’re after a Galaxy Alpha or Gear Live, head on in to a JB Hifi and check them out.

Thanks: Rami.
