It’s finally happening. After weeks of waiting, the Samsung Galaxy Watch is finally available for pre-order with JB Hifi kicking off the sale with a pre-order bonus.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch goes on-sale on the 4th of October, with pre-orders through JB HiFi receiving a bonus $50 JB gift voucher to spend in-store for orders placed before 3rd October. The watches start at $499 for the 42mm Wi-Fi option in Rose Gold and go all the way up to $699 for the 46mm 4G enabled model in Silver.
The watches will be available as both Wi-Fi and LTE models, which the Samsung Website advises is only usable with Telstra.
The pre-order bonus will come in the form of a gift card in an email 2 weeks after the release date for online purchasers, while those ordering in-store will receive a coupon at time of purchase.
Samsung’s latest wearable is the first in the ‘Galaxy Watch’ line, but just like their previous Gear S line of watches it also still runs on Tizen OS. The watches have a heavy focus on wellness including options for both stress and sleep monitoring capabilities in addition to the usual health tracking options like step counting, heart rate monitoring and GPS.

So far there’s no mention of pre-order on the Samsung Australia website, though you can sign up for stock alerts, so if you’re really into the Galaxy Watch you may want to check out JB HiFi’s website.
