HTC-Re-Camera-Face

Tomorrow, a new software update will allow HTC’s tiny RE Camera – launched in Australia last month, and reviewed here – to stream live to YouTube.

You will of course have to log into your YouTube account in the updated RE app, and you’ll be able to decide whether your stream will be public or private. Live footage streams from the RE to your phone, which then streams it live to YouTube.

The updated app should be live in Google Play tomorrow, while the iOS version has a non-specific “later in Q1” launch date.

What will you use your RE live streaming for? Tell us in the comments!

Before discovering the Nexus One, Jason thought he didn't need a smartphone. Now he can't bear to be without his Android phone. Jason hails from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane depending on his mood and how detailed a history you'd like. A web developer by day with an interest in consumer gadgets and electronics, he also enjoys reading comics and has a worryingly large collection of Transformers figures. Most mornings you'll find him tilting at various windmills on Twitter - follow @JM77 and say hi!
