Twitch App icon logo
Game streaming service Twitch, who were recently purchased by Amazon – apparently gazzumping Google at the post if rumours are to be believed – has now added Chromecast support to their Android app.

According to the Twitch Blog, the support has been an oft-requested feature, so now streamers can now access their favourite game players videos on the big-screen. There’s very little to do to access Chromecast support on Twitch, simply update your app to the latest version – which is available now on Google Play – and follow the directions below :

1. Open Twitch on your laptop or mobile device. Remember to update your apps if you don’t have updating auto-enabled.

2. Tap the “cast” icon. If you’re using Android, the icon is on the top right. If you’re on a laptop or iOS, the cast icon can be found on the bottom right of the video player.

Pretty neat. Head on over to Google Play and grab the update, or if you’ve never experienced Twitch, install it and start checking out some gameplay, it’s more interesting than it sounds.

The app was not found in the store. 🙁
