Sony Bravia
Sony has today announced a new range of TV’s at CES, bringing about the promised Android TV compatability that was announced at Google I/O in June last year.

There’s a full range of TV’s with most supporting Android TV, allowing you to stream videos and music, as well as access compatible apps and games from Google Play. The TV’s will also come with a microphone equipped remote control to facilitate voice search. Sony TV’s with Android TV will also fully support Google Cast, to allow you to cast content to the TV’s just like with Chromecast.

Bravia meets Android TV

This being Sony, there will of course be Playstation compatibility, with Sony including Playstation Now with their new Sony 4K Ultra HD TV’s. This also includes a select range of Playstation 3 games, which can be streamed to the TV like a TV show or movie, and played with a Playstation 4 DualShock controller paired to the panel.

The televisions announced will be running Sony’s new 4K processor the X1. The X1 processor is aimed at getting the highest quality video on your screen, offering the best color accuracy, contrast and clarity. The new models range in size from 43″ to 75″ across four new series and 10 new models. Models announced include :

XBR® X900C Series 4K Ultra HD TV (55″ and 65″ Class models) and X910C (75″ Class model)
Available in spring 2015

Sony also announced new HDTV televisions that feature, for the first time, Google’s Android TV operating system. The line-up will range in size from 50″ to 75” Class Models include the KDL-75W850C, KDL-65W850C, KDL-55W850C and KDL-50W850C. This line-up with be available spring 2015.
