Android Wear - Title
Google has this morning announced the latest update for Android Wear which brings with it interactive watch faces as well as a new Google Translate app.

With the new interactive watch faces, Google says you can now ‘with just a tap, your watch face can change its design, reveal more information, or even launch a specific app’. Google has shown off the new interactive watch faces with three examples of the interactions possible with the new update.

Firstly Bits, which lets you tap on a ‘complication’ (any feature in a timepiece beyond the simple display of hours and minutes) to let you quickly view mail, the weather or more. Under Armour will let you view step count, calories burned and distance travelled. and lastly Together will let you pair your watch faces with someone special letting you send ‘things like photos and emoji, as well as your activities’.

The interactive watch faces will be rolling out to all watch faces in the coming weeks, but Google has put together a collection of them on Google Play to check out in the meantime.

How does one get the Android Wear 1.3 Update?

    Wayno

When I opened the Play store earlier, it was just sat there waiting for me to update 🙂

Yes I have that companion app update as well, but that doesn’t update the watch, so much of the new functionality doesn’t work. On my watch it still says the Android Wear version is 1.1.1

I’ve just checked the watch and mine is the same actually – 1.1.1

I just did a factory reset and it downloaded straight away, it’s a nice update!
