Nexus 7 - hero - press site
After going on-sale on Google Play in the UK, Germany, Spain, France and Japan yesterday and in the US in late July. The day is here, the Nexus 7 (2013) is now rolling into retail stores across Australia.

The WiFi model is the first one to arrive in stores, with stores such as JB Hifi, Dick Smith and Harvey Norman all advising the stock is on order and due at some stage. A number of retailers are advising that the LTE model is definitely on order, however they cannot give an exact time frame for arrival.

Pricing for the Nexus 7(2013) is on par with the pricing announced by PLE computers back in early August and you can see the pricing as compared to other countries –

16GB WiFi 32GB WiFi 32GB LTE
Australia $299 $339 $439
US $229 $269 $N/A
UK £199.99 £239.99 £N/A
Japan ¥27,800 ¥35,800 ¥N/A
Spain/Germany/France €229 €269 €N/A

A full list of Asus retailers and resellers likely to have access to the Nexus 7 (2013) to order, is available on the Asus Website.

At this stage there are no accessories available to purchase or order. But so far we’ve seen a Nexus 7 Sleeve go on-sale in the US Google Play Store as well as a revamped Travel Case, Premium Cover and Screen Protectors made available through Amazon.

Check out your local stores and let us know if you’ve seen a Nexus 7 (2013) in stock and if there are any accessories. We’re still waiting on Google Play to update to allow orders online, but bear in mind that orders from there will incur a delivery charge.

It hasn’t been launched in Australian stores yet.

Daniel Tyson

Actually it has been launched, unfortunately none of them have stock yet.

theo

Had mine for three weeks and I bought it for 305. Us variant.

Joshua Hill

Still not available on the Google Play Store for Australians.

Andrew

Which stores are meant to be getting them? I called a couple around Brisbane and no one seems to know anything about it 🙁

Daniel Tyson

The majors are getting them – Dick Smith, Harvey Norman, JB Hifi and I’ve spoken to The Good Guys who advised they had them on order. Smaller Asus resellers such as PC Case Gear and PLE Computers have them listed as do Computer Alliance in Mt Gravatt – http://www.computeralliance.com.au/search?search=Nexus 7.

Ben

Nothing in Brisbane at all. i tried JB hifi,Harvey Norman….nothing 🙁

Gazza

Where did the pricing in the table come from? Are the Australian prices official or from PLE?

Daniel Tyson

official pricing From Google

an

the ASUS link is for the transformer pad not the Nexus 7 2013!

Shea Quinn

If you actually click through to a retailer you will see it listed. Computer Alliance has them listed on pre order from $299

Blake

$439 for LTE is wayyyy too expensive. I got my Nexus 7 2012 32GB 3G/Wi-Fi for $350. I expect the same price.

Joshua Hill

Given that the Wi-Fi versions are not the same price between the 2012 and 2013 model your expectations may be unrealistic.

BEN

whoohoo… just been bartering with a guy that has it for $400… i’ll stop the negotiations now! lol so is the stock on order or is it on the shelves yet ?

OmNomNomagon

Where at? that’s a great price.
