It’s been months since the ABC was announced as a launch partner for Google’s Chromecast dongle, but the update for the iview Android app to include Chromecast support is finally now available in Google Play.
The iOS ABC iview app got updated all the way back in September, with the ABC promising the Android App would be updated ‘in the coming weeks’. The Android app has finally been updated as outlined in the ‘Whats New’ section of the Google Play app description:
As above, the app also brings curated content areas, which appear to be suggested viewing curated by the ABC iview staff, as well as the usual ‘Bug fixes’.
The update with Chromecast support is live right now, so you should be able to update your app, or install it fresh from Google PLay and begin casting your content immediately.

Oh cool. I’m starting to use my Chromecast more and more these days so this will be a very welcome addition to it’s functionality.
