Spotify has announced that its app will be made available on Android Wear smartwatches through an update expected next month.

Spotify have confirmed that users will be able to browse and play music on the go from their wrist, without the need to pick up their mobiles or tablets. Users will also be able to navigate through their music playlist or browse through Spotify’s list other other various music genres without the need to open the app.

Spotify has said that the update will become available from next month though a precise date hasn’t been announced. You can hit the link below to download Spotify from Google Play and of course we will let you know when the rollout begins right here next month.

It would be great if you could actually store music on the watch. Id get an android wear straight away if that was the case.

Then you’d better start blowing the dust off your wallet because you *can* store music on android wear watches (albeit only a couple of gigabytes or so).

Under Google Play’s app settings there is an option to download to an android wear device, after you ticked that it’s just a question of selecting which songs in Google Play you want on your watch,

Yes but that isn’t Spotify. 3/4 of my music I get through Spotify and pocketcasts.

Would be great to use it while out for a walk and leave the phone behind
