Google started doing a bit of cross-promotion for the animate feature Zootopia earlier this month in the lead up to the films release. The film is now in cinemas, but that hasn’t stopped the promotion, and the next step is turning the camera over to the animals at the Los Angeles zoo.
The camera was actually a Nexus 6, which was carefully encased in a range of protective shells and camouflaged toys. The toys were put into the enclosure of the animals, which included a tiger, giraffes, sloths, elephants and more. Google has shared the resulting series of selfies on ZoogleGoogle Photos.
If you haven’t got your fill of animals taking selfies, you can of course check out the behind the scenes video showing the camera setups and the keepers who helped make the project possible.
