The countdown is on, and as we get closer the leaks happen more often and to be honest, I’m actually getting more excited by each one and as usual there’s a lot more today.
The retail packaging from US carrier Verizon has leaked overnight thanks to Twitter user @UniverseIce. In the photo you can see the retail packaging for the Galaxy S8. It’s not a huge leak, but shows that Samsung is pretty much done here, and all that remains is to ship the phones to retailers and carriers and well, announce the phone.

Universeice is also responsible for the next leak, showing the resolution options of the ‘Infinity’ curved edge display in a photo from the Galaxy S8. The screen will offer HD+ (1480×720), FHD+ (2220×1080) or WQHD+ (2960×1440) resolution options for you to choose from.

Finally, and you know you love getting these, Evan Blass has come through with those high quality goods we love, this time with a new tweet showing off the Galaxy S8 in Black, Grey and Gold. He’s posted the full resolution image as well, which we’re including here:
Samsung Australia has previously seemingly let slip that we will be getting the Gold, Black and Silver colour options here, so we could be seeing a lot more of these press renders in the coming weeks.
There’s not much time left until the launch. The Galaxy S8 will be launched in New York City on March 30th at 2am AEDT. The event will be live-streamed on the Samsung Mobile YouTube page and we’ll be sure to bring you all the details on local availability as soon as we have it.
So it’s going to be wider than standard 16:9 similar to LG?
Cancel and Apply buttons at the top of the screen – terrible design! This forces user to need to use 2 hands.
